Cryotherapy uses controlled freezing to remove common benign skin lesions such as skin tags, verrucas, warts and age spots. The extreme cold destroys the tissue, which then dries and falls away naturally over the following days as the skin underneath heals.
It is quick, minimally invasive and needs very little recovery. Most lesions are treated in a matter of seconds. Verrucas and larger warts are more stubborn than skin tags and often need a second session, which we will tell you at the time rather than after you have paid.

We examine the lesion first to confirm it is suitable for treatment. The freezing device is then applied directly for a few seconds. You will feel an intense cold, followed by brief stinging as the area thaws.
The area may blister, then form a small scab which falls away over one to two weeks. Do not pick it. Keep the area clean and dry, and use sun protection on healing skin to reduce the chance of a pigmentation mark.
