PRP/PRF Therapy

Using your own concentrated platelets to stimulate collagen and improve skin quality. Nurse-led, from £295.

What is PRP?

PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma. A small sample of your blood is taken and spun in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelets, which carry the growth factors your body uses to repair tissue. That concentrate is then reintroduced into the skin to stimulate collagen production.

Because the material comes entirely from your own body, no foreign product is introduced. It is used for general skin rejuvenation, tired-looking or crepey skin, and to support thinning hair in suitable cases. Results build gradually as collagen develops, so a short course usually gives the best outcome.

What it improves

From your own body

No foreign product. Only your own concentrated growth factors.

CQC-registered clinic

Blood drawn and processed by a qualified nurse with over 15 years of clinical experience.

30-minute appointment

Includes the blood draw, spinning time and treatment.

Course of around 3 sessions

Roughly four weeks apart, with results building over two to three months.

What to expect on the day

We take a small blood sample, much like a routine blood test, and spin it for a few minutes. The concentrated plasma is then injected into the treatment area, or applied alongside microneedling depending on your plan.

Expect redness and mild swelling for a day or two, and occasionally small bruises at the injection sites. Avoid makeup and exercise for 24 hours. Improvement appears gradually rather than on the day.

Questions, answered honestly

It uses only your own blood, processed in a closed system by a qualified nurse in a CQC-registered clinic, which removes any risk of reacting to a foreign product.

It is the same as a routine blood test, a brief scratch. If you are uneasy with needles or blood, tell us and we will take our time.

Typically three, around four weeks apart, then maintenance. Your consultation confirms the plan.

It is used to support thinning hair in some cases. Whether it will help depends on the type and stage of hair loss, which we assess honestly before recommending it.

Gradually, over two to three months, as collagen develops. This is not a treatment that shows an immediate change.

It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with certain blood conditions or medications affecting clotting. Your medical history is taken first.
