Fat Dissolving Injections

Targeting small pockets of stubborn fat that do not shift with diet or exercise. Nurse-led, from £195.

What are fat dissolving injections?

Fat dissolving injections break down localised pockets of fat cells, which the body then clears naturally over the following weeks. They are most commonly used under the chin, and also on the abdomen, upper arms and thighs.

This is a contouring treatment, not a weight-loss treatment. It works on small, defined areas that have not responded to diet and exercise, and it works best when your weight is already stable. We will be straightforward at consultation about whether it is likely to help you, and we would rather decline than take payment for something that will not work.

Areas we treat

Contouring, not weight loss

Best for small defined pockets when your weight is already stable.

CQC-registered clinic

Treatment delivered by a qualified nurse with over 15 years of clinical experience.

30-minute appointment

The treatment itself is quick. The swelling afterwards is the part to plan around.

Course of 2 to 4 sessions

Spaced several weeks apart, with results developing between them.

What to expect on the day

The area is marked and cleaned, then the solution is injected across it in a grid pattern. The treatment takes only a few minutes. You will feel stinging during the injections and a warm ache afterwards.

Swelling is expected and can be significant, particularly under the chin, where it may last one to two weeks. Tenderness and a firm feeling in the area are normal as the fat breaks down. Do not book this within a fortnight of an event.

Questions, answered honestly

No. It targets small, defined pockets of fat for contouring only. It will not reduce your overall weight, and it works best when your weight is already stable.

More than with most treatments we offer. Under the chin can swell noticeably for one to two weeks. Please plan around this properly.

Usually two to four, spaced several weeks apart, depending on the area and how much fat is present. We assess this at consultation.

The treated fat cells are cleared and do not come back, but remaining fat cells can still enlarge if you gain weight. A stable weight keeps the result.

There is stinging during the injections and an aching or burning sensation for a while afterwards. Most clients manage without pain relief, but it is less comfortable than most injectables.

It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for anyone seeking general weight reduction. Your consultation covers your medical history and whether it will genuinely help.
