Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Softening fine lines and dynamic wrinkles while preserving your natural expressions. Nurse-led, prescriber-approved, from £50.

What are anti-wrinkle injections?

Anti-wrinkle injections use prescription-only muscle-relaxing medication to soften the appearance of fine lines and dynamic wrinkles, the lines formed by repeated facial movement. They are most commonly used on frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet.

At A&S, treatment always follows a consultation with a qualified prescriber. We assess how your face moves, talk through what you actually want to change, and dose conservatively. The aim is a smoother, more refreshed appearance, not a frozen one. If we think a treatment is not right for you, we will say so.

What to expect on the day

Your appointment starts with a consultation: medical history, current medication, and an assessment of your facial movement. If you are suitable, treatment takes only a few minutes. Most clients describe a brief sting, similar to a pinprick.

Afterwards you can go straight back to your day. We ask that you avoid exercise, alcohol and lying flat for the rest of the day, and we book a review so we can check your results have settled as expected.

Questions, answered honestly

Most clients describe a brief sting, similar to a pinprick. The needles are very fine and the injections themselves take only a few minutes. Numbing cream is available if you would prefer it.

No. We dose to soften movement, not remove it. Our philosophy is natural enhancement, so you should still look like yourself, just less tired. We will always advise against overtreatment.

Typically 3 to 4 months. Most clients book maintenance around three times a year. Longevity varies with your metabolism, the area treated and how strong the muscle movement is.

Effects usually begin between day 3 and day 5, and settle fully by around two weeks. We book a review at the two-week point so we can check everything has settled as expected.

None. You can return to your day straight away. We ask you to avoid exercise, alcohol and lying flat for the rest of the day, and not to rub the treated area.

Anti-wrinkle injections are not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with certain neuromuscular conditions. Your consultation covers your full medical history, and if the treatment is not right for you we will tell you and suggest alternatives.
